Japanese packaging is so inspiring. Hmmm. How can I incorporate this subtle yet gorgeous design into my own work. Excited to explore the possibilities.
e e cummings letterpress poem
I recently letterpress printed this poem by the timeless ee cummings. It was for my dear friend Shirley's ex-husband's memorial. He died suddenly last month in a sort of freak accident. Life is short.
it's you...it's always been you.
I found this lovely chalk written message on my walk home from Lark Press one summer day. (I luckily only live a few blocks from our brick + mortar shop! SO lucky.) Voilá. Thank you iphone camera....you really do a nice job in a pinch.
hiking in the PNW
My goal for this trip was to relax, enjoy nature and...work a little. But alas, while my intentions were good I once again got caught up in the first two goals. We went to Mt. Adams... Takh Lakh lake in the Gifford Pinchot Forest. Beautiful! But bugs... a lot of bugs. We did however reach High Camp about 1 mile past the PCT trailhead. And it was stunning.
But now...back in Portland and time to work! New letterpress cards are due soon!
fun day
